How To Look After Pashminas

As a delicate fabric it is not something that you can throw into the washing machine with the rest.  It also is not suitable for dry cleaning (have taken advice on this from a friend who owns a chain of dry cleaners – do not dry clean, the chemicals damage the product, was his stern warning).

Treat as you would a cashmere sweater - hand wash with soap.  If you get a mark on it, just dab gently with some washing up liquid and leave to dry.  Be surprised how this perks it up.

Dry them flat and not on direct heat.  If they are folded they can be put on a drying rack to finish drying (do not leave too much water in them though, causes a huge mess)

I have owned my pashminas for more than 8 years and they are still going strong, I just add different colours as I need them J

When storing I do this in two ways, I have a rack that I bought from IKEA for a few pounds or I fold them up and lie them flat.  When transporting them in my handbag I roll them up to stop them creasing and for ease of storage.
